abstract={Power quality on land is a well-documented subject that has been carefully researched. Instead, this report will examine what the power quality is like on board two vessels and compare it to the power quality on the mainland. We have done three experiments. Two of these took place in the school’s laboratory, where we constructed a work bench to be able to simulate errors. The third experiment took place in a closed circuit system which simulated a real boat. Both older and newer equipment were used. One older oscilloscope and a fluke power meter and a modern tool from Unipower called Unilyzer 900. The result in this rapport is based on the real measuring take on board the Coast Guard vessel Poseidon 001 and Maritima’s HMS Kalmarsund. The methods used in this rapport are one interview, with the purpose of aiding in the understanding of the problems on board, and a field experiment, with the purpose of us examining the disturbances ourselves. In the results the disturbances which have been measured on Poseidon 001 and HMS Kalmarsund will be presented and compared with each other, with the interview, and with the regulations on the mainland.},
