System för larmövervakning via smartklocka

This thesis describes the development of a system for alarm monitoring where it is possible to control the alarm with a smartwatch. The system is comprised of a smartwatch, a smartphone, a self-developed web service and an already existing web service. The smartphone communicates with the self-developed web service that in return communicates with the already existing web service. However the system is controlled with the smartwatch that communicates with the smartphone via Bluetooth. The system is heterogeneous, many different platforms have been used and the system has been developed in a wide range of environments and languages: JavaScript, C#, Java, HTML5, CSS and XML. The smartwatch that was used in the project is a Samsung Gear 2, with the new operating system Tizen. Samsung Gear 2 was released on the market in 2014. A smartwatch is a computerized watch with a touch screen. The smartwatch can communicate with the smartphone to get access to its functionalities such as the Internet. However it can also be used as an standalone device. The development of the system has been comprised of different moments. This thesis will describe the implementation of these moments and describe the result. A finished version of the system has been implemented that is capable of retrieving the status of the alarm and also connect and disconnect it with the use of both the smartwatch and smartphone.
